An explanation of how our CSA program works

A CSA is unique in that you as the consumer choose to invest, or share in the farm experience. We offer three options with some additional add-on options in which to choose from. Find details regarding the options below. After selecting the plans that best suit you and your family, please print the registration form and fill out all fields and sign. Include a check to cover the cost of the option(s) and mail to the address given on the registration form. Once we receive payment, you are then enrolled in our CSA!

We will supply you with a re-usable bag with our logo at the time of the first pickup. You are given one bag with the purchase of a CSA option which we encourage you to use throughout the duration of the program for pickups. Pickups will occur on Tuesdays & Wednesdays of each week throughout the range of dates for the option that you are enrolled in. Pickup can take place from 10a.m. - 6pm. All CSA members will receive a share of produce harvested and packed as close to pickup as possible. The weekly shares will be pre-determined by Miller Plant Farm but will be diverisfied week to week to encourage members to sample a wide range of our fresh produce. We strongly encourage members to pickup produce during the specified pickup time. If you can not do so, we will gladly donate your week's share to a local needy family or organization. If you are on vacation, have a friend or family member pick it up to enjoy. If you can not make it on your specified pickup day one particular week we can arrange for a pickup on Thursday a.m, but you must contact us letting us know ahead of time and it will be the same share prepared the day before. At noon on Thursdays all unclaimed shares will be donated to needy individuals.

Our Garden Center

Miller Plant Farm has been serving the York County community from our farm for decades, and in 2011 opened our 15,000sq. ft.  greenhouse, garden center and farm market.  Our garden center houses over 11,000 sq. ft. of greenhouse space where you can find high quality vegetable transplants, bedding plants, specialty annuals, hanging baskets, mix containers, tropicals, perennials, and more!  Our facility also includes a gift shop offering unique items not found just anywhere, as well as features products from local artisans.  During the harvest months, look no further than Miller Plant Farm for farm-fresh produce.  We take a great sense of pride in growing much of the food that we sell, and sharing with our community.  We have been told that our sweet corn is tough to beat!  When you stop in don't forget to sample some delicious treats from our in-house bakery.  The bakery is always putting out something sweet, and the smells are free!  From our farm to your family, welcome to Miller Plant Farm!

Will you be getting more plants in?  If so, when?

Although we may purchase some plant material from time to supplement our own supply, we generally do not buy plants.  With the exception of fall mums, perennials, and zonal geraniums, 95% of all plants sold at the farm are grown from cutting on site.  We are true greenhouse growers, not just retailers like the majority of other garden centers.

Do you offer a planting service or have a landscaping division?

No, not at this time.  We have business cards available at our registers for several local landscaping companies that do reputable work.

Does Miller Plant Farm have a butcher shop or process deer?

No, Miller Plant Farm does not have a meat market.  J. L. Miller Sons butcher shop is only a quarter mile west on state route 182 on the left from Miller Plant Farm.  J. L Miller Sons phone: 717-741-2431.
